  • MAIJA RIVENBURG - DIRECTOR

    Originally from New York, Maija RIVENBURG is an artist manager and activist who is passionate about connecting artists with audiences.  She received her B.A.’s from the University of San Francisco in Performing Arts & Social Justice with a focus on theatre, and in International Studies with concentrations in Peace & Conflict Studies and African Studies.

     Since 2015, she has lived in East Africa in Rwanda, Uganda, and Kenya working in theatre, festival administration, cultural event marketing, music management, and collaborative installation coordination. In August 2020, she decided to open Kipepeo Agency as an artist management and booking agency to mold strong artistic brands that can travel the world showcasing impeccable East African talent.

  • ALFAYO ONYANGO - PR LEAD

    Alfayo Onyango is a avid advocate for music, pop culture & arts, a Pan-African aficionado has worked closely with some of the most idiosyncratic global African acts from Nasty C, Skales, Ayra Starr, Simi, WurlD, Seyi Shey, Bas, Kim Jayde, Rowlene and more to amplify their brands, image and aesthetics to be palatable to wider demographics. 

    Alfayo is an editor, consultant, corporate brand strategist and broadcaster for multiple select media publishing outlets, with a knack for content direction and new/traditional media savvy. He has contributed to brands such as The Standard Group, Mediamax, while offering his columnist and production expertise in their various organizational media in TV, Radio, Print and New Media. 

    In addition to his work at Kipepeo Agency, Alfayo also is a Media Executive at talent agency and holdings company Tofauti Vibes, where he has also been able to A&R, publish, and creative direct projects for burgeoning Nairobi acts.

  • SALOME WAITHERA - MARKETING AND ADMINISTRATION LEAD

    Salome Waithera is a music and environment enthusiast. Due to her family background in wildlife, environmental conservation, and climate change, Salome was able to form a deep bond with the environment for she has participated in charitable walks and projects that aimed to improve the conservation of nature. Her music enthusiasm stemmed from her love of listening to radio jingles when she was a toddler and listening to old tunes with her parents.

    Having schooled in the United Kingdom in the University of Northampton, Salome was able to obtain a First Class Degree in Business Entrepreneurship. Business coming natural to her, she decided to merge her knowledge and skillset with her love for music. She entered the music business field in 2021 after returning home from her studies. In less than a year, she has been able to cultivate networks within the Kenyan music industry through working with top music producers in the country. She has also been able to practice her business skills through assisting an online creative platform with their administrative and operational tasks to assist upcoming Kenyan artists, within this period.

  • MORRIS HAFARE - PARTNERSHIP LEAD

    Morris Hafare is a dedicated content creator with a focus on music, known for crafting engaging content that resonates with diverse audiences. Previously, as an artist liaison for Mdundo, he played a key role in bridging the gap between the platform and its artists, fostering relationships, and supporting musicians' needs. With a deep understanding of the music industry, Morris provided valuable insights to both emerging and established artists. His interpersonal skills and industry expertise made him a trusted voice within the artist community. Passionate about amplifying diverse voices, Morris continues to innovate in the music content space, combining creativity and industry knowledge to shape meaningful musical experiences.

  • IMMACULATE JUMA - ARTIST LAWYER

    Immaculate Juma is an Advocate of the High Court of Kenya and a creative (singer-songwriter) whose inclination towards the arts has largely influenced her practice in areas of law including Intellectual Property Rights, Law and Management, Music, Entertainment and Media Law, Art Law, Privacy and Image Rights, Software licensing and Employment Law.

    She is currently a member of the Kenya National Visual Arts Association (KNVAA) Legal and Policy and the Head Legal Consultant for the Association of Animation Artists Kenya.

    Immaculate is currently practicing law in Nairobi whilst running ArtLawKenya T/A Kulture Shift PLC, a legal consultancy where she works with creatives and creative organizations on diverse areas of law including but not limited to protection of their Intellectual Property (IP), IP Management and contract negotiation. She is also a lecturer at the Africa Digital Media Institute.

  • TABARO POUPOUTTE- LOGO DESIGNER

    Poupoute is a visual artist who shares her vision of love through multiple media. Most of her work involves physical contact with other humans in attempt to share energy and positivity while creating beauty from painting, body painting, jewelry and more recently big experimental installations in music and art festivals. She creates very detailed work that transports the viewer to a crossroad of a psychedelic world and all the places Poupoute has been or dreamt of. She is a self-taught artist and enjoys deeply creating with others in whatever collaboration they can all express both unity and individuality
